Eating Our Way Through Greenville-Round 2: Caviar & Bananas
Chris was craving breakfast after 11 AM on Saturday and apparently everyone (Tommy’s Ham House and Buttercream Bakehouse) stop serving breakfast at that time.
We went to Rick Erwin’s Deli because I like their macarons. They had moved on to lunch as well. I suggested Caviar and Bananas and that is where we ended up.
I’ve written about them before so I’ll just recap the brunch options.
Chris had a Brunch Burrito (pulled pork, fried egg, green chillis, cheddar, black beans, pico de gallo, avocado, lemon creme, whole wheat tortilla) which was very tasty and Parmesan crusted potatoes.
I had the Southern fried chicken biscuit and cheddar grits. The chicken biscuit was the largest that I have ever seen in my life. It was hugggggggeeeee. The cheddar grits had bacon and jalapeno. The consistency was perfect and the heat at the end was just right.
I love the aesthetic of C & B and the upscale feel. What I am not a fan of is no refill options. My chai tea latte was great but Chris would have liked refills.
We will be back.
