Eating Our Way Through Greenville: The Cheesecake Factory at Haywood Mall
In full disclosure, Chris and I are trying to visit every Cheesecake Factory in the US. So far, we have made it to Waikiki, Arlington (VA), Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Indiana, New Jersey (King of Prussia), Richmond, etc. Our goal is to try every kind of cheesecake they have on the menu. We are about 70% of the way through it. It’s not that Cheesecake Factory has the best food because they don’t in my view. We just like the ambiance and the cheesecake.
The CF in Greenville is extremely small. The wait time is ridiculous if you go during peak times. I don’t know why there is so little seating. They do stay open late on weeknights which is rare in the South and they have a nice outdoor patio seating area.
I usually go with orange chicken or white chicken chili but I had a BBQ chicken pizza which was almost as good as the California Pizza Kitchen version. The salad that came with it was huge but tasty. Chris had shrimp scampi which was fine but unspectacular.
The best thing I had was the strawberry lemonade which is basically diabetes in a cup. It was good though and at $5 I felt duty bound to drink as much as humanly possible. Ha! Ha!
Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I even ran into a hostess that went to my school in Hawaii’s rival. It’s nice to run into friends from the past. On to the next place…
