The trim and crown molding is done and it looks so much better! Chris is currently caulking all the nail holes and corners so that I can start painting the newly installed doors and trim this weekend. It is starting to come together.

If we could find some accent chairs and a few pieces of art to put on the walls, we would be in business. I am going to print some of the photos that I’ve taken over the years and see how they come out. Fun times!

I loved the metal chairs we ordered from Wayfair but strongly disliked the “copper” ” finish. After a quick trip to Lowe’s, Chris is spray painting them a lovely silver.

We have had a few guests come through for visits so we have been doing more hanging out than housework lately.

The last major project was all the trim (baseboards, crown molding, shoe moulding, door frames, etc.) All of the doors have been replaced and painted except for the back door.

We picked out a new back door this weekend and it should be hung this week. It’s hard to choose between form and function. I want it to be pretty but I also don’t want to make it easy for criminals to break (i.e. too much glass).

We need one more chair and a few pictures but we are mostly done inside.

Chris bought some shiplap from the guy at Taylors Mill for a feature wall outside. That’s the next big project. On we go…
