Good Stuff (Washington, DC)

When on Capitol Hill, one should check out Good Stuff. It’s close to the Library of Congress and has great milkshakes!

It was started by Chef Spike of Bravo’s Top Chef fame. It has expanded to more locations after the original location’s success. The basic meal includes a greasy burger, a greasy hand cut fry, and a signature milkshake. The burger is solid. It’s not cooked to order but you’ll be full. I favor the Village fry (with rosemary seasoning).

For those looking for a deal, there is the lunch bag with a drink. If you aren’t a burger fan, Chef Spike started a unique pizza joint next door called We the Pizza. Great handcrafted soda and unique regional and international themed pizza variations!

This visit, they had some diabetic coma inducing passion fruit lemonade that was amazing.

Skip the Obama Burger (no reflection on the person-I just don’t like the condiments on it).

I can’t drink a whole milkshake so I get the Mini Moo (kid’s size). I recommend the Toasted Marshmallow or Milky Way Malt. Enjoy this Hill staple!

P.S. I like to dip my fries in the mango mayo. #yolo
